Sigils in Transit (SiT) is a collaborative hip-hop collective founded by Erik Buene (formerly known as Scope), built on the principle of shared authorship rather than traditional features. The project emphasizes continuity over turnover—building a body of work that feels shared, cohesive, and alive. With core members including Karin Gunhildgard on vocals and SKP on rap, SiT operates as a creative space structured enough to form identity, yet open enough to invite commitment.
On February 27, 2025, Sigils in Transit released their debut album "Graff Gospel" through Rough Rhythm Records. The album expands from a foundational piece called "The Alchemist's Tongue," weaving together urban poetry and conceptual music into a cohesive narrative. The release was celebrated with a concert at Trall Bar in Oslo, marking the collective's emergence into the Norwegian hip-hop scene.
The album explores graffiti aesthetics as a framework for understanding creativity—repetition, layering, erasure, and reappearance. Core themes include urban spirituality, surveillance culture, voice as a creative tool, digital instability, and identity fragmentation. Through these lenses, Sigils in Transit crafts music that feels both intimately personal and universally resonant, blending street wisdom with philosophical depth.
At its core, Sigils in Transit is about building something lasting through collaboration. Rather than chasing features or one-off collaborations, the collective invites artists to become part of a larger vision—a body of work where individual voices strengthen the whole. This approach creates music that evolves organically while maintaining a clear artistic identity.
